Woodwinds

At the heart of Juilliard’s woodwind department is an outstanding faculty that includes distinguished soloists and principal chair holders in the New York Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, among others. They serve as teachers, role models, mentors for students in the department.

As a woodwind student, you will also have ample opportunities to perform in one or more of the school’s numerous orchestras, chamber groups, and new music ensembles.
